A hundred words to talk of death?
At once too much and not enough.
My plans beyond that final breath
are currently a little rough.

The dying thing comes on so slow:
reluctance to get out of bed
is magnified each day and so
transmuted into dead.

I dream of dying all alone,
nobody there to watch me pass
nothing remains for me to own,
no breath remains to fog the glass.

And when I do put down my pen
my memories will fly like birds.
When I am done, when I am dead,
and finished with my hundred words.
-Neil Gaiman

Christmas Eve eve....

this has been a year to be grateful for...
thankful for all the friendships we have made over the Neverwear website and all you lovely faithful Neil readers...
This was also the year i got married my dream date, Drew, i met him on the road four years ago, on Rob Zombie tour.
Drew came home yesterday from the Roger Waters THE WALL tour.
gone for over five months, it is so grande to have him home for the holidays.
see us here at the Oakland show with the rockstarry missus AManda Palmer.

we have been madly wrapping presents, singing carols, sticking bows on sleeping cats and trying to stay dry in the torrential Los ANgeles rainstorms of recent days....lookit, yesterday's double rainbow!

here's Batman pre-decorations, resting on his best friend.

(seriously girl, you write so fast--how do you do it?!)

this next book literally stopped the presses at the treehouse, I sat on the floor and stared at this for a solid hour.

HAUNTED AIR, a marvel of recent history, old Hallowe'en photos collected by Ossian Brown.
(full disclosure, i am a huge Coil fan to boot, so i was doubly entranced)
Brown edited these anonymous photos (taken between 1875 and 1955)
Boss, you will treasure this one.
There is a foreward by David Lynch for extra beauty.

magnets & jewels, shiny & new!

We made it to mid-December of the Year of the Tiger--- this has been one of my busiest years on the planet to date.
I always travel, but this year has been more than my fair share of getting on and off transport vehicles.
so!
when i got off the whirlwind of travel, I went into a trance, making things as a stay-at-home therapy.
Several of them are posted up under "Kitty's Treasures" on www.neverwear.net

We had hoped to have the new Michael Zulli print up for this holiday season, but deadlines are often
just markers in time, hopeful wishes of what might be, not what is.
It will be worth the wait, this is a promise.

Two weeks ago, through Kickstarter we funded a film version of Neil's short story THE PRICE I am producing this with Christopher Salmon. We have a poster coming in shortly, watch this space.

meanwhile Neil and Lorraine are snowed in out in the midwest, they may be dug out by now, but I am jealous of the beautiful snow, it's been 70* and sunny over here in Hollywood. Why aren't I there making snowballs and angels?
Here's a photo of me walking on the frozen lake by where they live, I will just enjoy from afar.

up next!! a great Neil mailbox, here's a preview:
